Since 1995, International Samaritan has been leading service trips that touch the lives of both the people we serve, and our volunteers. Build schools in Haiti, serve on a medical brigade in Honduras, teach in Egypt. Our short term service learning trips are a chance to make a lasting difference.

During our 7-to-10 day service trips, volunteers work hand in hand with the people we serve. For example, on our Egypt service trip, participants will have the opportunity to teach English, provide public health education, work at a local hospital, and build homes alongside residents in the Cairo dump community.

Five-day medical brigades offer medical and dental professionals, as well as lay people, an opportunity to make a difference in the health and well-being of very needy people. On average, our medical teams serve 1,000 children, women, and men each trip. For some, it is their only connection to health care.

You don’t need to speak the language of the people we serve, nor do you need to be Christian. Our mission trips are conducted in the spirit of the Good Samaritan, but represent the universal humanitarian characteristic of helping one’s neighbor. High school and college students, health professionals, people of all ages and skill levels are welcome to participate.

A valuable part of our mission trips are the evening reflections, in which volunteers gather to think about and discuss their experiences.

Tens of thousands of people are living in severe poverty in garbage dump communities around the world. International Samaritan serves these people every day with housing, education, nutrition, medical treatment, early childhood care, and microloans, but we need your help.
