2015 marks a very special year for our volunteers. Over 340 volunteers across the United States have been called to serve International Samaritan. They have built houses for destitute families in Nicaragua, added a second story to the Coll School in Guatemala, constructed a library in Nicaragua, and provided medical and dental care in Nicaragua.
Oftentimes, volunteers tell me they feel that they receive more than they give when they work in these impoverished communities. Despite what they think, their achievements will have a lasting benefit to garbage dump communities, and for their efforts we are all thankful.
In November, a group of volunteers, doctors and nurses will provide medical care in the garbage dump community of Ciudad Sandino in Nicaragua. We invite you to volunteer, to make a monetary donation for medicines, or to keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
