Be A Samaritan: International Samaritan Day
October 25 / Luke 10:25

The Reality
š Entire families live and work in landfills to survive.
š A scholarship can change everything.
ā¤ļøā𩹠Deaths are common but preventable.

Breaking the Cycle
Breaking the cycle of poverty takes more than charity – it takes lasting change
At International Samaritan, we believe in walking alongside families living in and around garbage dumps to break the chains of generational poverty through education, healthcare, and opportunities to build a future beyond survival.

How You Can Help
$25 = school uniform or new shoes
$50 = wellness programs + mentorship
$100 = contributes toward tuition + school fees
We all need someone who will stop and help: Just as the Good Samaritan did in the biblical parable. At the end of that story. Jesus told his followers to “go and do likewise.” (Luke 10:37)
WILL YOU?
100% of your donation goes directly to families in poverty.
Help us raise $150,000 to fund 50 scholarships by October 25!
Imagine if this were your life
Students in the International Samaritan scholarship programĀ are growing up next to city garbage dumps in developing nations. Life is often all about survival! They face many tough decisions, including the ones in the stories below. If you were in the same situation, what would you do?
Click on each link to go through a choose-your-own-path type of story to see what you would do if faced with these choices. The story has multiple outcomes! Unlike in real life, in these stories you can go back and see what it would have been like if you had chosen a different path. While these stories are fictional, they’re based on the real-life experiences of multiple students in the International Samaritan scholarship program. The photos in each story depict actual scholars, volunteers, and team members. At the end of each story, you’ll meet some real-life team members and scholars.
